When Laurel Estabrook is assaulted while riding her bike through Vermont’s back-roads, her life is forever altered. Previously confident, Laurel withdraws into her images, spending all her spare time in a homeless shelter. There she meets a container of pictures, a guy with a brief history of emotional illness and Bobbie Crocker he won’t allow anybody observe. Laurel finds a seriously concealed secret–a tale leading her not even close to her previous life, and right into a cat-and-mouse game with pursuers who declare they would like to save her, when Bobbie dies.
